The Fold

In 2010, Margaret and Justy were offered for sale, a second house which sits directly behind Le Barry. Known to us as ‘The Fold’ (for reasons will become clearer in the not too distant future), we are shaping this house to offer creative residencies as an alternative way to experience the village of Mas Cabardes and the Cathar trail. This project is very much on the back burner as we are full steam ahead on Le Barry this year. We are hoping to get the Fold up and running in 2013 and will post more info on this page as it reveals itself to us!

We are excited by the presence of ‘La Muse’ Writers’ and Artists’ Retreat, positioned high on the hillside in the nearby village of Labastide Esparbairenque. La Muse is owned and run by two young writers from New York – Kerry Eielson and John Fanning, and has been successfully offering residencies since 2001. We look forward to saying hello to everyone at La Muse on our next visit.  They have a great site to look at: http://www.lamuseinn.com (thanks to Y Watt for the tip).
